  2. My brother Carey was an exceptional person. He went through a lot in his short life. He is an inspiration to me. He always had a smile on his face and hug for anyone around.

I wish I would've spent more time with him, called him on the phone just to say hi and been with him more. I will regret that every day.

He had such a sweet and tender heart. He loved his nieces and nephews so much!

I am so grateful for eternal families and that we can be with him again.

  3. I remember our family trip to Lake Powell one summer, with Grandpa and Grandma. All of us cousins on that tiny houseboat!! Trying to help your mom keep Corey and Carey in one place! It never worked.

  7. On the Alaskan Cruise our family went on, Carey got up and sang karoke. He sang, "The Dance," by Garth Brooks. Here are the lyrics:

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared beneath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known you'd ever say goodbye

    And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

    Holding you I held everything
    For a moment wasn't I the king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all

    And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

  8. Carey has always been such a sweetheart, so easy to be around. I will always remember spending the day at the cabin with Lorraine and Carey and a 6-month Hannah while my dad, hubby, Clyde and Hal worked on the trailer. Carey was trying so hard to stay clean that weekend so that he could get into a rehab program. I know his body was probably in pain and that he was miserable but he stayed downstairs and visited the majority of the day and was as sweet as he could be even in the midst of all he was going through.

Though Carey's struggles were apparent to all who knew him, he was a good person from a phenomenal family. I love you all dearly, sweet neighbors, and am so sorry that you are going through this pain.

  9. Hi,

Carey was a good friend of mine in middle school. I just wanted to echo the many nice things that have been spoken about Carey - mainly his good heart. His genuine love for life was contagious, everyone was happy when Carey was around.

    My condolences,

    Jason Sanders
